What is the Kanella Clip made of? 

Our signature clips are crafted from high-quality, eco-friendly cellulose acetate, a durable material derived from plants, not plastic. This gives them that luxurious, high-gloss finish and superior strength compared to standard plastic clips. The personalization is hand-set using premium light-catching crystals.

How many letters can I have? Can I use numbers or emojis?

You can personalize your clip with up to 7 characters. This ensures the text fits perfectly across the curve of the claw without crowding.

To ensure the most aesthetic and readable finish, we will capitalize the first letter for you (e.g., "Jessica"). We can include numbers (e.g., "1998") and standard letters (A-Z). Unfortunately, we cannot set emojis or special symbols (like ❤️ or ★) at this time.

How does the Arabic hair clip personalization work?

We make the process effortless for you. If you have the specific Arabic spelling of your name, please provide it in the personalization box at checkout. If you don't have it, simply provide the name in English and our team will translate it into the correct Arabic script for you.

Our artisans then hand-set each rhinestone to follow the elegant flow of the calligraphy.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Kanella ships worldwide from our London studio. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location:

  • United Kingdom: FREE (Tracked 48)
  • Europe: £10.50
  • USA & Canada: £14.99
  • Rest of World: £24.99

How long will it take to receive my order?

Because every Kanella piece is hand-personalized and requires a 3-4 week curing process, your order will be dispatched once it is perfected. After dispatch, delivery times are:

  • UK: 1-3 business days
  • International: 5-15 business days, depending on your location

Why does it take 3-4 weeks to ship?

Good things take time. Unlike mass-produced accessories, every Kanella Clip is made to order in our studio.

  1. Creation: We hand-set every individual crystal.
  2. Curing: The bonding agent requires a full curing period to ensure your crystals stay secure for the long haul. We promise it is worth the wait!

Can I return or exchange my clip?

Because every item is bespoke and personalized specifically for you, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or spelling errors made during the ordering process. Please double-check your text before checking out!

Can I change my customization or delivery address after placing an order? 

If you notice a spelling error, please email us at hello@shopkanella.com within 1 hour of placing your order. After that window, we cannot guarantee changes can be made.

My item arrived damaged. What do I do?

We stand by our quality. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at hello@shopkanella.com with a photo of the issue. We will arrange a replacement for you immediately.

How do I care for my Kanella Clip?

Treat your clip like jewelry:

  • Avoid Drops: Acetate is durable but can break if dropped on hard surfaces like tile or concrete.
  • Keep it Dry: Avoid direct contact with water, hairspray, or heavy perfumes to protect the crystal bond.
  • Storage: When not in use, keep it in a pouch or safe spot to prevent scratching.
